Yes! We are a Local, Family-owned business. We have been serving Kansas City since 1987. With over three decades of experience in the industry, we have established ourselves as a premier choice for residential, commercial, and specialty moving services in the Kansas City area.

Are You Licensed And Insured?

We are fully licensed, bonded, and insured. We carry workman’s compensation insurance as well. We proudly stand behind our name and reputation in the Kansas City community and take full responsibility for any damages or mishaps that may occur on the day of a move.

We do our best to make every move flawless; however, accidents happen. We stand behind our word and will fix any damages that occur by our movers on move day.

About Our Employees

Unlike other moving companies, our team consists strictly of full-time employees. We do not hire any temporary day labor. All of our movers are background-checked and trained upon hiring to ensure maximum customer satisfaction during every residential, commercial, and specialty move.

How Big Are Our Trucks? Are They Clean?

One of the most common moving questions is, “How big are your trucks?” All of our trucks are full-sized, 26-foot Moving Trucks that are large enough to store and transport all of your personal belongings. All of our moving trucks are swept and cleaned at the end of each day. They are deep-cleaned every Sunday to ensure they are nice and tidy for each move.

Where Should I Buy My Boxes?

Another common moving question we receive is, “Where should I buy my boxes?” We sell high-quality moving boxes at our warehouse facility. You can stop by our warehouse, and we can help you select an array of boxes to best suit your packing needs! Our prices are competitive and the box quality is higher than that of the local stores.

Do You do Long-Distance/Out of State Moves?

Yes, we do long distance moves anywhere in the country. Please call and ask us about your Long Distance Move.

Do You Offer Packing Services?

We offer full-service packing or single-room packing services. We can pack everything in your home or just certain areas of your choice. (ex: Kitchen and breakable only)

How to Prepare for Your Move (electronics, TVs, and more)

What Is Your Refrigerator Policy?

  • Usually, refrigerator doors need to be removed for refrigerators to fit through doorways. Our estimators will discuss this with you and we can arrange to have the doors removed and reattached. If you want to do this yourself to save money, then please let us know. If the doors are not removed, then there is a chance damage can occur to the refrigerator doors.

Should I Unhook Washer And Dryers?

  • You will need to have the water line disconnected from the washing machine on move day. While some of our men can do this, our insurance does not take liability or cover for water damage.

Should I Unplug, Dismount, Or Disassemble Any Electronics?

  • TVs Must be removed from the walls prior to moving day. If you need help removing from the walls, we can arrange for this to be done, however we must be notified of this prior to moving day.
  • TVs must be packed in a TV box for us to move them. They are extremely fragile and easily broken. If you do not have a box, no problem! We can provide one for you on moving day and add it to your order.
  • Be sure to pack and label any TV cords and components and put them in a safe place or take them with you so they do not get lost.
  • Computer and Stereo equipment should be properly packed in closed boxes, OR it is usually easiest to move these in a personal vehicle. If you need help packing these items, then please let us know.

Do I Need To Unpack My Dressers?

  • Soft Clothing items can be left in dressers with 4 or less drawers. If the dresser has more than 4 drawers, then removing the clothing can help reduce weight and make it easier on our men.

How Do I Prepare Lawnmowers And Other Gas-Powered Yard Tools For Moving?

  • Any tools or equipment must have the gasoline removed from them prior to going on our truck.

How Do I Prepare Pictures, Glass Shelves, And Glass Tops For Moving?

  • Any pictures or glass shelves/tops must be packed in glass packs or picture cartons for us to move them in our truck. If they are not properly packed, then we cannot guarantee safe transport of them. If you cannot pack them, then we can do that for you. We will need to be notified prior to moving day, and we can add the picture/glass packing to your order.

Open Top Box Policy

  • Any item that can fit in a box needs to be in a box. Boxes with open tops are unable to be stacked and therefore make loading the moving truck inefficient and risk damaging or losing the items in the open box.

How Do I Prepare Personal Belongings Such As Jewelry, Firearms, And Other Valuables For Moving?

  • All jewelry, valuables, firearms, and Important Documents should be put in a safe place and transported by the owner. These items should not be packed away in boxes as you may have a hard time locating them after the move.

How Do I Pack my Clothes?

  • We can provide Wardrobe Boxes with hanging bars on moving days. The bars are 18” in length, so measure your amount of hanging clothes, and that will help determine the number of boxes you will need.

How Do I Pack My Bedding?

  • Bedding should be packed into large boxes, or heavy-duty trash bags can be used as well. If your bedding is of higher value, then packing it into boxes is the best option.

Will You Disassemble Exercise Equipment?

  • Most exercise equipment needs to be disassembled to be removed from the current location. If the equipment was assembled new out of a box, then it most likely will need to be disassembled to be moved. One of our team members can help determine this if you are unsure. We will need to be made aware of the disassembly service prior to moving day.

Will You Disassemble/Reassemble My Beds?

  • We can disassemble the beds for you at no extra charge. Disassembly/Reassembly does increase the time needed to complete the job, so if you are looking to save money, then doing the disassembly and reassembly yourself is a great way to save a buck.
What to Expect on Moving Day

What Time Will the Movers Arrive?

Normally all full-day moves start between 8:30-9 am. If a move is estimated for 4 hours or less, then you will be assigned a start time of morning or afternoon. In this case, we will contact you 1-2 days before your move to let you know the arrival time. If you have any time constraints or restrictions, then please let us know upon booking, and we can make a time reservation to suit your needs.

Do I Need To Be Available and Present During the Move?

It is very important that you are available to answer questions and give instructions during your move. This helps the men work as quickly as possible and make sure your items are in the correct place when the move is complete.

Will You Protect My Property and Floors?

We will protect all doors and banisters, as well as the carpet and hardwood floors. We will use a plastic laminate carpet shield to protect carpets. We have extra hardwood floor protection that can be used if you would like. Just let us know, and we can add it to the order.

What if There is Rain/Snow?

In the event of inclement weather, we will be sure to take extra precautions in protecting the property and furniture. Inclement weather can impact the time it takes to complete your move, but we will do our best to make sure it is done right! If you are flexible in rescheduling and our schedule allows for it, then we can discuss a possible reschedule to avoid weather-related issues.

How Can I Save Money On My Move?

    Disassembly/Reassembly Furniture

If you disassemble and reassemble beds, shelving units, etc, then this is a great way to save yourself some money. We are more than happy to handle the disassembly, however it increases the time needed to complete your move.

    Be Well Packed!

The best way to ensure a smooth moving experience is to make sure your items are packed in boxes and ready to be moved. Make sure boxes are taped and sealed to ensure they can be stacked and moved efficiently.

Move Small And Loose Items Yourself

Moving the smaller knick-knacks and loose items can save you time and money. Some items simply don’t fit in a box, and it is easier to transport them yourself.

      Payment and Billing Information

When Do I Pay And What Are My Payment Options?

Payment is due upon completion of your move. Accepted payment methods are Check, Card, or cash.

When Does Billing Time Start And Stop?

        Can I Tip the Movers?

Tips and gratuities are appreciated but not required. You may tip accordingly based on the level of service you feel you were provided. You may tip in cash or on the bill.
